In order to complete the registration, the owner must sign an authorization letter and send it back to us together with a copy of the trademark certificate. The registration delay can vary according to paperwork processing.

In order to register a .EG domain name, the owner must be a legal entity and own a registered trademark covering the Egyptian territory (Documents will be requested).
Generic terms are not allowed : the domain name must have a link with the owner (company name, trademark, line of business...).
The Registry reserves the right to deny the registration.
Administrative contact:
Due to the complexity, we accept only domain name registrations using our local contact service for the administrative contact (which is free of charge for this extension).
To initiate the transfer of a .EG domain name, the owner must send us a letter of Authorization. Due to the complexity of this extension, our local contact service is mandatory.
Once the transfer has been finalized, the domain name's expiration date is extended for a one year period.
To change the holder, you must first go through an authentication process.
To that end, validation emails will be sent to both current and future domain holders.
After a period of 5 days, the request will be cancelled.
The domain expiration date is not affected by the transfer process.
The .eg extension does not support special characters.
